Memorial Biography

Matthew Lucas Huntsinger 31, of Asheville, NC passed away March 12th,2013 at Mission Hospitals. Formerly of NY, Matt had been a resident of Asheville for the past 10 years. Matt was a veteran of the US Army, and a well respected Policeman of the Asheville Police Department. Matt used his spare time being a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.

Matt was preceeded in death by his Grandfather David Huntsinger, and Grandmother Shelia Lewis.

Surviving are his Parents David Jr and Jane Huntsinger of Albany NY. Newly become Fiance Gina Bishop of Asheville NC. Sister Sarah Barton and husband Timothy and nephew Talon of Blacksburg VA. Grandmother Mary Huntsinger of Albany NY. Several aunts and uncles all of NY. Best friend Austin Mittchell of Asheville NC. And dog Boston. Along with all the fellow officers of the APD.
